The Disciplinary Section is the judicial branch of international gymnastics. Previously administered by the Fédération Internationale de Gymnastique (FIG), it is now managed by the Gymnastics Ethics Foundation.

The Disciplinary Section is comprised of a Disciplinary Commission (first instance) and an Appeal Tribunal (second instance).

Disciplinary proceedings may be opened by the Director of the Gymnastics Ethics Foundation based on the findings of an investigation resulting from a complaint received. The FIG Code of Discipline governs disciplinary proceedings.

Panels proceed in accordance with the FIG Rules, Swiss law, and internationally recognised principles and laws. Panels may also rule in equity (ex aequo et bono).

The decisions of the Disciplinary Section are communicated to the Director, who informs all concerned parties.
